Employme is recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established automotive workshop based in Christchurch, for a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join their team.
About the Role
This position plays an important role in supporting workshop operations through the safe and efficient transport of vehicles, parts, and equipment. The successful candidate will be dependable, safety-focused, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect and deliver trucks, vehicles, and machinery to customers and suppliers
- Transport parts and materials between sites as required
- Complete delivery documentation accurately and on time
- Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and report any issues promptly
- Comply with all road safety regulations and company procedures
- Assist with general yard and workshop duties when needed
- Current Class 4 or Class 5 driver licence (as required)
- Proven truck driving experience
- Clean driving record
- Good knowledge of local Christchurch routes
- Strong time management skills
- Reliable, punctual, and professional approach
