At EmployMe Solutions, we’re matchmakers for people who can fix anything that lifts, tilts, or beeps in reverse. One of New Zealand’s leading materials-handling and forklift service providers is on the lookout for a skilled Forklift Mechanic to join their team in Blenheim.
What We’re Looking For
- NZQA Level 4 Trade Qualification (Automotive, Heavy Diesel, or similar)
- Minimum 2 years’ post-trade experience servicing and repairing forklifts or similar machinery
- Strong diagnostic and repair skills across mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
- Professional communication skills – able to converse confidently and clearly with customers
- A proactive attitude toward learning, safety, and teamwork
- Maintain, service, and repair forklifts and other vehicles/hire equipment on behalf of the employer
- Perform breakdown repairs both in the workshop and on-site (field service) – some travel may be required
- Conduct pre-delivery inspections, diagnostics, and preventive maintenance
- Complete all job cards and service records accurately and on time
- Explain repairs to customers on site
- Undertake training as required to maintain technical competency and stay up to date with the latest equipment and systems
- Full time permenant role, offering minimum 40 hours per week - $36 – $38 per hour, depending on experience
- Company vehicle provided for business use
- Overtime available plus on-call allowance every 3 weeks
