Right now, we’re working with a well-established construction equipment & farm machinery service provider in South Auckland that’s on the hunt for a Diesel Mechanic / Field Service Technician to join their high-performing crew. This isn’t just another workshop gig - it’s a role where you’ll get autonomy, variety, and genuine career progression.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Diagnosing, repairing, and servicing a range of construction equipment & various brands of farm machinery
- Tackling everything from engine rebuilds and hydraulic systems to on-site breakdowns
- Managing field service calls across Auckland with a fully equipped service vehicle
- Using diagnostic systems and your mechanical know-how to keep downtime to a minimum
- Working alongside a supportive team that values precision, pride, and professionalism
- Have 5+ years’ experience in heavy diesel, trucks, construction, or agricultural machinery
- Hold a Level 4 trade qualification (Heavy Automotive or related field)
- Know your way around hydraulics, electrics, and engine diagnostics
- Can handle both workshop and field service work confidently
- Hold a full NZ driver’s licence and bring a positive, get-it-done attitude
- Top pay – up to $45/hr (negotiable for experience)
- Company vehicle + fuel card for field service work
