Good techs are always busy. The right job has to be worth the move.
At EmployMe Solutions, we’re working with a well-established machinery and service provider that genuinely looks after its people. They’ve built a strong reputation supporting horticultural and industrial operations across the region, and they’re now looking for an experienced Field Service Technician to come on board.
If you’re already in a job and not actively looking, this is the kind of opportunity that’s worth a proper look.
What makes this role different
This isn’t a high-pressure, unrealistic workload environment. It’s steady, well-organised work with a team that knows what they’re doing.
You won’t be left chasing parts, dealing with poor systems, or cleaning up other people’s mess every day. The business invests in its gear, plans ahead for busy seasons, and gives technicians the support they need to actually do their job properly.
You’ll get a good mix of field service and workshop work, with enough variety to keep things interesting without burning you out.
The work
You’ll be working on a range of mobile equipment used across orchards, packhouses, and industrial sites.
- Breakdowns that need sorting now , especially during peak season
- Planned servicing and maintenance to keep gear reliable
- Diagnostics and fault-finding across mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
- Pre-delivery checks to make sure equipment leaves the yard right the first time
What they’re really looking for
They’re not chasing unicorns - just someone competent, reliable, and easy to work with.
- Trade qualified (Level 4 or equivalent experience)
- Solid background working on machinery (forklifts, agricultural, heavy equipment, or similar)
- Strong diagnostic skills - someone who can think, not just swap parts
- Good with customers -straightforward, honest communication
- The kind of person who shows up, gets stuck in, and takes pride in their work
- $37-$42 per hour(and they’ll pay properly for the right person)
- Guaranteed 40 hours + overtime opportunities
- Company vehicle for work use
- On-call allowance on a fair roster (not constant disruption)
- Modern tools, decent systems, and ongoing training
- A team that respects your time and backs you up when things get busy
You’ll be joining a business where technicians tend to stay.
Not because they have to - because the work is steady, the expectations are realistic, and they’re treated like professionals.
