Field Service Technician - Heavy Equipment
At EmployMe Solutions, we’re matchmakers for people who can fix anything that digs, lifts, tilts, or beeps in reverse. One of New Zealand’s largest construction‑equipment groups is recruiting for a qualified mechanics for their workshop in Gore and Invercargill.
What We’re Looking For
- Trade‑qualified heavy‑diesel tech or 3–4 years’ hands‑on earth‑moving experience
- Proven skills with forklifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts and big dirt‑chewers
- Fault‑finding mechanic: mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical
- Strong customer‑facing communication skills, with the patience and clarity to explain complex repair procedures in a professional and approachable manner
What You’ll Be Doing
- Service and maintenance on breakdowns in the workshop and out in the wild (field service)
- Run pre‑delivery tests on shiny new (and lovingly used) machines before they meet their forever owners
- Diagnose gremlins fast, smash out quality repairs, log it all in clear job cards
- Minimum 40 hours/week – overtime there when you want to fluff up the paycheque
