Automotive Technician | European Specialist Workshop | Auckland

Employme Solutions is recruiting on behalf of a highly respected, long-established European vehicle specialist workshop based on Auckland’s North Shore.

This is a rare opportunity to join a premium independent workshop known for its deep technical expertise, strong reputation within the European automotive sector, and long-standing customer relationships. The business specialises in european vehicles  delivering high-quality diagnostics, servicing, and repairs in a modern, well-equipped environment.

If you are an experienced Automotive Technician who enjoys complex diagnostics, precision workmanship, and working on premium European vehicles, this is a workshop where your skills will genuinely be valued.

Why This Workshop?
This is not a high-turnover, fast-paced general repair shop. It is a specialist European workshop built on reputation, technical excellence, and long-term customer trust.

You’ll be joining a small, highly skilled team that includes advanced European vehicle expertise and strong factory-level diagnostic capability. The workshop is clean, organised, and equipped with modern diagnostic systems designed for accurate, efficient fault-finding and repair. Technicians here are supported, not rushed, and quality always comes before shortcuts.

What’s In It For You?
  • Competitive hourly rate based on experience ($36 – $45 per hour range depending on skill level)
  •  Stable, full-time permanent employment (40 hours per week)
  • Work exclusively on premium European vehicles
  • Modern workshop with advanced diagnostic equipment and tooling
  • Ongoing technical training and professional development
  • Supportive, experienced team environment
  • Strong emphasis on quality workmanship over volume
  • Long-term career stability within a respected specialist workshop
  • North Shore Auckland location with easy access
The Role
You will be responsible for diagnosing, servicing, and repairing a range of European vehicles, ensuring all work is completed to a high technical and safety standard. This role suits a technician who enjoys problem-solving, fault diagnosis, and working with complex vehicle systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advanced diagnostics and fault-finding on European vehicles
  • Servicing and mechanical repairs
  • Brake, suspension, engine, and drivetrain work
  • Use of modern diagnostic tools and manufacturer-level systems
  • Accurate completion of job cards and service documentation
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and professional workshop environment
  • Delivering consistent, high-quality workmanship
What We’re Looking For
  • Qualified Automotive Technician
  • Strong experience in European vehicles preferred (Mercedes Benz, VW, Audi, BMW, MINI, Porsche experience advantageous)
  • Excellent diagnostic and electrical fault-finding skills
  • WOF certification preferred or willingness to obtain
  • Full, clean driver licence
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
  • Reliable, professional, and team-focused attitude
This Is For You If You Want
  • A proper specialist environment where European vehicles are the focus
  • Less general repair work and more technical, diagnostic challenges
  • A workshop that values skill, accuracy, and experience
  • A stable long-term role rather than a revolving-door workplace
  • A place where good technicians can actually build a career
