What We're Looking For:
- 3–5 years' proven experience in a generalist HR role, with strong exposure to employee relations matters
- Sound understanding of New Zealand employment law and HR best practices
- Confident managing ER processes such as investigations, performance management, and grievances
- Excellent communication skills — you’ll be coaching leaders and supporting employees daily
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage sensitive issues professionally
- A team player who’s also comfortable working independently
- Tertiary qualification in HR or a related field preferred (or significant practical experience)
What You'll Be Doing:
- Acting as a first point of contact for all HR and ER queries across the business
- Providing expert advice and support to managers and employees on policies, performance, conduct, and employment matters
- Conducting workplace investigations and assisting with grievance processes
- Supporting onboarding and induction processes for new employees
- Helping develop and deliver people initiatives and training
- Implementing fresh processes and procedures to make things even better
- Training and collaborating closely with managers to build their ER confidence
- Keeping managers up to date with the latest employment law changes (so no one’s ever caught off guard)
- Ensuring compliance with employment legislation, company policies, and Health & Safety standards
- Maintaining accurate ER records and preparing reports for leadership
- Collaborating with a passionate, supportive HR team to drive a great workplace culture
