What We're Looking For:
  • 3–5 years' proven experience in a generalist HR role, with strong exposure to employee relations matters
  • Sound understanding of New Zealand employment law and HR best practices
  • Confident managing ER processes such as investigations, performance management, and grievances
  • Excellent communication skills — you’ll be coaching leaders and supporting employees daily
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage sensitive issues professionally
  • A team player who’s also comfortable working independently
  • Tertiary qualification in HR or a related field preferred (or significant practical experience)

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Acting as a first point of contact for all HR and ER queries across the business
  • Providing expert advice and support to managers and employees on policies, performance, conduct, and employment matters
  • Conducting workplace investigations and assisting with grievance processes
  • Supporting onboarding and induction processes for new employees
  • Helping develop and deliver people initiatives and training
  • Implementing fresh processes and procedures to make things even better
  • Training and collaborating closely with managers to build their ER confidence
  • Keeping managers up to date with the latest employment law changes (so no one’s ever caught off guard)
  • Ensuring compliance with employment legislation, company policies, and Health & Safety standards
  • Maintaining accurate ER records and preparing reports for leadership
  • Collaborating with a passionate, supportive HR team to drive a great workplace culture
