About the Role As an Automotive Technician, you'll play a key role in servicing, maintaining, and repairing a diverse range of vehicles. Working in a modern, well-equipped workshop, you'll be part of a supportive team that values technical excellence, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, service, and repair a variety of vehicle makes and models.
- Carry out routine servicing, engine repairs, brake work, suspension, and general mechanical repairs.
- Use modern diagnostic equipment to accurately identify faults.
- Complete job cards and service documentation to a high standard.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workshop environment.
- Work collaboratively with the service team to deliver exceptional customer service.
You'll have:
- A relevant automotive or diesel qualification
- WOF Certification (preferred) or willingness to obtain it
- Proven experience as an Automotive or Diesel Technician
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A full, clean New Zealand driver's licence
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Competitive hourly rate of $36 to $38 per hour, depending on experience plus bonuses
- Permanent, full-time position with a guaranteed 40 hours per week
