We are currently seeking a qualified Automotive Technician to join our client, a well-established, busy dealership in Waikato. This is a high-performing workshop where quality workmanship matters, teamwork is genuine, and the pace keeps things interesting.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Diagnosing, servicing, and repairing a wide range of light vehicles with efficiency and accuracy
- Using modern diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve faults
- Performing routine servicing and complex repairs to manufacturer standards
- Safely test-driving customer and company vehicles
- Working closely with Service and Parts Advisors to ensure smooth workflow and excellent customer outcomes
- Recording detailed and accurate job information
- Keeping up to date with the latest technical procedures, tools, and product knowledge
- Completing required manufacturer and company training
- Contributing positively to a supportive, team-focused workshop culture
- NZQF Level 4 Motor Trade qualification (or international equivalent), or a minimum of 3 years’ experience as an Automotive Technician
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding capability
- Confidence working across a range of makes and models
- Solid computer skills and clear communication
- High attention to detail and pride in getting it right the first time
- A team-oriented, reliable attitude
- Full NZ Driver’s Licence or overseas equivalent
- Permanent, full-time role with guaranteed 40 hours per week
- Competitive hourly rate of $34 – $37 per hour
